blindjimmy Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 Hello everyone, this is for the techies.... i have an amp , not an epiphone, rhymes with Marvin , 4 el84' s, and the problem is this : reduced volume with a putting sound , or a motorboat sound. the amp is totally stock, no mods. I've done some mods on other amps, and built a 5e3, i'm pretty comfy inside the chasis, but i dont know what to look for. would anyone have suggestions ? thank you ! m-theory Posted March 17, 2009 Share Posted March 17, 2009 Preamp coupling caps. You might want to consider replacing all electrolytics while you're in there, as well as screen grid resistors.
