snoty Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Got my hummingbird about 2 weeks ago..changed the strings someone suggested DR..fell in love..So I thought I'd take it to be set up..My guy says the top of the guitar is caving in and the neck is arching up''Said he can fix both problems but he would return it..Any body else have this problem..I have about 3-4 weeks to return it.

I'd return/exchange it. Should be no problem if it's under warranty.
OldGuitarPlayer Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 That really sucks...sorry to hear about your sick guitar...It sounds to me like it needs to be humidified. Have you been using a humidifier? If that doesn't solve the problem I would send it back.
TWANG Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 when they dry out the area below the bridge sinks.. that will wreac havoc with the whole guitar. keeping it in direct sunlight, next to heat or air cond. vents.. that'll take the water out of it, too. If you know you haven't abused it, which would give the seller some argument, return it. TWANG
