Swoop Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 I want to replace the cheap, crappy, standard tuners on my G-310 SG with something with a better gear ratio, and something that is generally of better quality. Would midsize grover rotomatics fit. They're a nut and washer type tuner like the ones on the SG, and they would definitely fit in the hole, but how about the screw on the back? Will that go stratight into the existing screw hole or will I have to drill new ones? I've had a bit of a measure up, and I think they will fit, but is there anyone that has done this who can give me a definitive answer?
TWANG Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 the screw hole is either angled or straight down.. regular size grovers wouldn't fit the one I had in the shop because of the post size. I'll check but I think there's a set of imports that will fit. and they're nice, too. I'll have to look up grover midsize.. but I'll get back tomorrow as I have to call in some parts then and I can ask the supplier and be sure of what's available. TWANG
Swoop Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 The screwhole on the midsize Grovers are angled, as are the screw holes on the original tuners. Here are the midsize Grovers
