Hello everyone,

I have a j45 and I always seem to get some type of white film on the edge of the guitar. My guess its hand an arm sweat. Can you give me a good cleaner or anything I should do to get it off? I dont want to hurt the finish so I am shy to do anyting.

I agree with guitarstrummer, a little warm water with a cotton cloth and then follow up with a new dry cotton cloth and you should be good to go. One note, do NOT use a cloth that has been washed with any type of fabric softner as it tends to transfer the cloudy residue on the guitar.

If water doesn't do the trick, try Naptha (lighter fluid). It is supposed to work great at getting almost anything off the guitar finish, but I have never had to do it.

beautiful family' date=' tp. that j45 is gorgeous. one look at your taylor and i missed my 415 for a sec there![/quote']

Thanks for the comment cunkhead.... but the Gibson I have is an Advanced Jumbo not a J45. They look similar but the AJ has different fret markers with the arrows <-> type thing and different bracing similar to the original AJ's. It is a great guitar. My Taylor is a 1993 612C that I bought new and it has been my #1 for years. I have to say the Gibby has been getting most of the playing time lately though. I have been working on a song I heard on the TV show "Scrubs" called "My Tuscaloosa Heart". Here is a short clip from youtube. There is a 2nd verse that you can also find somewhere on youtube. It is a really fun little blues ditty and it sounds awesome on the AJ!

It's OK that he got interrupted playing his Martin. Now, if it were a Gibson, that is one wife I wouldn't wanna be.
