theboatcandream Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I just measured the nut width on my Epiphone and it's 1 10/16" (41mm). Are all Epiphones like this? I always took it for granted that they were 1 11/16".
midiman56 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Actually, the VAST majority of the Epiphone line is listed as being 1.68" at the nut ... whatever that translates into fraction-wise. There are a few, the Elitist Casino and that new Zakk Wylde thing to name a couple, that are listed as 1 11/16". Jim
EpiSheriMan Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I just measured the nut width on my Epiphone and it's 1 10/16" (41mm). Are all Epiphones like this? I always took it for granted that they were 1 11/16". They all vary from model to country of manfacturing. My Elistist is 42mm and my MIK Sheri is 43mm.....
bigneil Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 My own guitars are both more like 44 or 45 mm at the nut one is a late 80's Epi and the other is a Gibson. Although that was without my glasses on. lol 1 11/16" is 1.68" =42.67199999995391 and 1 10/16" is 1.625" =41.27499999995542
DizzyFingers Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 My two Casino's are 1.62 at the nut and my Ultra II LP is 1.65 at the nut... What you like all depends on how big your mitts are...! I haven't seen another guitar with as slim a neck as my Casino's...
Ricochet Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I just measured three Epis(F, EE, U) and a Gibson LP and they're all approx. 42.5 mm.

bluelake07 Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 My MIK Casino measures 1 11/16" or 43mm; after getting out a magnifying glass, 42.5mm like Richochet's.
