wjr781 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I was thinking about replacing the bridge pickup in my dot and having coil splitting for the neck stock epiphone pup cause it sounds fine to me but dont generally like the clean bridge sound, and want some versitility in the neck. What does everyone think? Any suggestions for bridge pups ppl like in semi hollows other than the '57 alnico and burstbuckers?
skinzbaby Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 I was actually toying with this idea myself, but am reluctant to replace my burstbuckers for a four wire pickup for the coil tap as I do like the tone and attack of the burstbuckers. I wasn't sure on which pickup to get (I know I didn't want a 496). Let me know how yours works out if you go that route. I'm also thinking about getting a graph tech ghost piezo pickup system for it so I won't need to switch guitars for the acoustic tracks live.
Ron G Posted April 2, 2009 Posted April 2, 2009 Can't do it with the stock pickups cuz they don't have 4 leads.
