Lord Summerisle
G400 Faded.......I just sold mine for $600. Was the buyer drunk at the time? http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Vintage-G-400-Electric-Guitar-102488731-i1150101.gc
midiman56
ROFLMAO!!! Don't tell me you're missing her already? You haven't even gotten your hands on the Prophecy yet! The faded cherry is all over the place. The brown one not so much in the stores, but widely available on-line. Jim
sexygibson
Wow, 600 bucks ? You made out like a bandit on that deal. I've considered picking up one of the faded models as I've been missing the feel of an SG. I think I like that brown.

Bangbang
Uh-Oh! Pangs of regret? Well......I modified mine with the Gibson pickups that are in the Gibson standard and it sounds great. Now I am thinking about trading my strats for the Gibson Faded Standard. However theey were modified too so I would take a loss.

I have one of these and I'd thoroughly recommend it.
Guest alanhindle
G400 Faded.......I just sold mine for $600. The G-400 Vintage are no longer available. These are quite desirable because they had the neck binding. The newer versions are called the faded but lack the binding. Which was yours? I have to say, if Epi started doing G-400s with the full binding and full poly cherry finish I'd be severely tempted. Alan

midiman56
Bangbang - Binding is a plastic or wood strip that is applied around an instrument to add good looks and protection from bumps and nicks on the edges. They can be plain or fancy: a simple white strip or an intricate decoration made of many laminated pieces. You see it on the outer edge of the guitar body (front and rear edge in some cases) and possibly up the outer edge of the neck and the headstock as well. Take a look: Unbound neck: Bound neck: Hope this helped! Jim
