jonnyg
Hi I recently bought a used Epiphone Chet Atkins which is from about 2003. I don't know the exact model but it's the steel string version in natural finish with the long, old style Epiphone headstock. It needs new tuners to replace the "Jinho" Grover copies, which are gold plated rubbish, but it seems that the volume pot is also broken, ie you can pull the knob shaft in and out. Now, I've taken the thing out and it reads 500k but does anyone know if it should be a log pot (audio taper) or a lin pot. Normally I'd fit a log pot but as it's an active circuit would that be OK. I'm sure one of you guys are going to know the answer and I thank you in advance for your help. JohnnyG
