bhodiuk
I was really disappointed that Gibson did not have a stand at the London Guitar Show 2008 at the excel Centre. I went along expecting to see a few custom shop guitars and after searching endlessly, I discovered no sign of Gibson!!! Everyone else seemed to be there. Why did Gibson not have a stand.....anyone?? Seriously disappointed John

Rhythm Man
NAAM is on twice a year, one summer and one winter one. It is in Anaheim, LA. It is MASSIVE. Everyone is there. Musikmesse is in Frankfurt, Germany. Thats on in February/April every year. That to is Huge. NAAM has announced a UK arm of their operations so hopefully it will be coming this way soon. LIMS - London International Music Show. Which Guitar Live is now part of has just had it's first outting. I'm not surprised Gibson weren't there as it is not a proved show. I worked at the show the other month and I think it will get bigger and bigger. Also Gibson are reorganizing their distribution network in the UK. So no one really knows who will be selling Gibsons here yet. I hope this clears things up a bit.

bhodiuk
Come on Gibson, at least give a response!! Have you left the UK out of the picture??
This one goes to 11
Last London Guitar Show I went to was in '05. Let's see - apart from the many boutique makers, we had Dean, Ernie Ball/Music Man & a few other big names. Marshall (naturally) had a large stand, as did other international names, but no Gibson & I can't remember if Fender were there either. Seemed a bit like having a car show without GM, Ford and Mercedes.
Ricky330
The London Guitar Show was appalling! It gets worse and smaller every year. This year, exhibitors were not allowed to sell anything more expensive than £25 ($50) and you were not allowed to bring your guitar. I'm hardly surprised that Gibson weren't there. Actually, the surprise is that anyone worth a damn turned up at all! :(
