So this asswhipe expects anyone to pay him 64 plus 35 (shipping) for a total of 99 bucks for that piece of sh¡t?

What an asshole!

If I wanted to throw away 100 I would give them to lynyrd or anyone else in this forum... or hell I would buy one of those cheap lorean/chinese guitars (carlo robeli, and the likes), they have some 100 bucks models that should be good for breaking them onstage... this piece of crap doesnt serve even for that.

Expects?.....he already has 8 bids. He's gonna get way more than $64 bucks before it is over. If you had an org 58 with a beat to hell fretboard....maybe.

I'll save my anger for the original asswhipe who cut the body up and then pulled the parts off with a sledge hammer.

Looks like a hippie got hold of the guitar and tried to turn it into a sitar. They should be put against the wall and shot.
That is exactly what I was thinking! Definitely a misguided product of the '60s! First I think they should have been beaten with the guitar. Then shot. You know whats ironic, is that John Mayall used to do this kind of thing to guitars. So here you have a f&%@ed Gibson that somebody was inspired to do by somebody who had a small part in bringing us screaming Gibson guitars! Ha ha!! That cracks me up no end to think about!

Didn't Eddie VH chain saw an Explorer or something? I think some of this is hindsight on our parts. Who knew these guitars would be so valuable and collectable? A Les Paul maybe, but some of the lower models? I remember being very surprised when Fender Mustangs became valuable since they were such pieces of crap. Some hippie is probably kicking himself for turning that into a faux sitar now!#-o

It's kinda funny that when people try to sell Fender Mustangs, they list people who play/played them, and one of the first people on the list is Kurt Cobain. He was a great musician, but, he used Fender Mustangs because they are crappy. Kurt Cobain bought his first Mustang for $20, but since he made them popular, they're like $700 now.

I think he might be the only one on that list actually!

Exactly. Back then, that guitar was just a cheap student model, not the ridiculously (and I mean that in the worst possible way) collectible item it is today.

Like Bluemoon said, it looks like some hippy tried to make it look like a sitar and what better instrument to hack up than an old, cheap student model guitar? Better than hacking up a 59 Standard flametop, don't you think?
