dougg330
I put their P-90's in my Casino and love them. The neck pickup is actually a little too hot - have to keep the guitar volume down in the 7 range to keep notes from getting too crunchy. But the bridge pickup ROCKS - blows away my 1966 Gibson ES-330 for great lead sound. I also put GFS P-90's into a '62 ES-120 (converted to an ES-125TD basically) and got a fantastic jazz tone from the neck PU. And they're fairly quiet for P-90's, too. All in all, I'm a big fan. vomer
...the wire colors are different' date=' or something. They've 'gotten them wrong' several times & had to do it again. The problem with 'getting them wrong' is that they 'work' but sound like sh*t. Maybe the same thing is happening to you?[/quote'] On the Dream 90's I just installed on my Sheraton the wires were the 'wrong way round' so they were out of phase with both pickups on- a weak sound. Easy fix, just swap the wires over, but a shame they came that way. Great pickups though.

bill67
I was going to put gfs p-90s in my dot but instead order a Squier thin hollow body with single coil,I have no idea what they sound like.It was $300. Has anyone here played one?
JestersTear1
I have the Premium Vintage Alnico's in my Strat and they are fantastic - much less harsh than the stock opnes and have a sweet Stratty quack. I'm gonna throw some in my G-400 but not sure what to go for yet.
dbirchett
I have premium vintage alnico's (I think that's their name) in my Strat and a set of Vintage alnico Liverpools in my Sheraton. They are both great sounding pickups.
