Lord Summerisle
Yeah, I've had my eye on one of those for a while. A semi equipped with P94s, what's not to like? Well, actually, the only thing not to like is the Valensi TRC. So if I ever do pick up one of these, I may be pestering you (TWANG) to sell me an alternative! $699 Hmmm...I would have agreed with you about it being a bit pricey. But (incredibly), Fender now expect almost $1000 for one of these... Nice guitar, but its not the very best to come out of the Mexican factory...and $939 ? Heck, that's a lot of money for a guitar you could buy for $699 just a few months ago... Epis are starting to look competitively priced (by comparison). TWANG That is the same price as the Casino now. If Epiphone is correct in their specs the new non Elitist model also comes with the real Gibson P94s. I have never seen one at GC or Sam Ash so I can't compare to my Elitist version, but I would guess it is still nice. If the specs are correct then this is the best current stock line Epiphone as it is the only one to use real Gibson PUs and not Epiphone versions. twodice
yeh i own the elitist version in vintage sunburst, great great great guitar! but i dont know why epiphone didnt bring out the VSB on the standard versions? maybe a wee limited edition Cherry would be cool! i have seen nick play a Cherry Riviera P-94 before. I had a choice when I bought mine between the Natural and VSB. I like the Natural but should have bought the VSB. I had a VSB Dot at the time and felt I had too many burst guitars. You would think in the stock line they would have had a few more color options.
