JefferySmith
Next question: Should it be played and undoubtedly get worn and damaged over the next 40 years or should it be kept in 'as new' condition for all eternity? Third option........ Sell it to The Edge or Paul Weller for a mint. I would encase it in glass and display it in my living room. That's the problem with discovering Tut's tomb...you can't play with him afterwards.

frenchie1281734003
Just imagine if this had been a '65 Lennon spec guitar... Hey Clarkuss, have a look at U.K. eBay, item number 310139467070 right now, and you will see a virtually pristine 65 Casino, with a serial number that is 124 before Lennon`s actual guitar, yours for £4999.00!. Now if only it was in Ice Tea finish!

Redddog
thank you everyone for all the comments' date=' both+ and - its great to be the protagonist of a lively debate. that was not my intention, i have been a lurking, vintage guitar guy with out a vintage guitar for years. the guitar will be well cared for and played often, by myself and fellow musicians that are my friends. lastly the gentleman that i got the guit. from is a well educated man of means, and got more enjoyment out of the fact that he got to negotiate a little deal, than he ever got from this guitar. cheers T.N.T. o[/quote'] So you're saying that he knew what the value of this guitar was?
