Thanks for the quick response. It's a gift for my son as an upgrade to his Toys R Us guitar.

Are there any easy ways to tell if it is a fake? Why do some Epiphone LP Stds have the Gibson name on it and others don't?

Gman Music has been around for awhile, I've done some business with them in the past, they seem to be very reputable. I wouldn't worry.

The early Korean made Les Pauls had Gibson on the truss rod cover, but newer ones say Les Paul Standard (or whatever model it is) on them.

It looks like a really nice guitar, you're son should be very happy.

They looked to be reputable to me too. I've been researching and comparing prices for weeks now and I guess I just need confirmation that made a good choice.

Thanks!

I know... I can't wait to hear him play this!!

I paid (ebay) 300.00 + 40.00 shipping for my LP Classic. You have a VERY

GOOOOOOOD deal on your hands! Actually, this is a guitar that he SHOULD

keep for a loooonnnggg time! How old is he and how long has he been playing?

That is what I was hoping to do, get a good deal on a used guitar that would be an upgrade that he would be able to keep for many years without breaking the bank. I was worried that no one else had bid on it at that price.

He's 10yr and has been playing for about a year now.

use to play smoke on the water over the phone for me....

That's cool! That was my son's first song he figured out on my crappy 30 year old 3/4 size classic acoustic guitar before he got his first guitar or started lessons.

pics or it didnt happen lol

How can I post pics from my computer anyway? I gave up trying and just gave the url for the entire listing

I'll zap a couple of pix of your git on for you for discussion purposes...

It wasn't until I started to download the pix that I realized -

YOU WERE THE ONLY BIDDER???? Holey Moley! Incredible, you

snuck in under the Radar and pulled off a miracle! It was

"meant to be", otherwise the other guitar nuts out there wouldn't

have missed it! Congratulations again. I want it. Now. Send it to

me.... You are getting VERY sleepy.... Send guitar to animalfarm......

The HAIRY FAIRY BLESSES YOUR PURCHASE!

Thanks for putting up the pics. Since I was the only bidder I thought I must have made a huge mistake or missed something! I spent days being out bid by the “guitar nuts” until I finally got a break.

The hairy fairy is fairly scary…but I’ll take the blessing!

Very nice. I'll be forwarding this thread to my parents...

Good luck!

Its pretty wild how eBay is utilized sometimes too much and sometimes not at all. I got great deal on my 1996 Les Paul STDLE and it had already been relisted a couple of times by a seller with over 500 positive feedbacks. But, I guess I was just meant to have it!

BTW

I absolutely love my Epiphone Les Paul and I have been playing for 20 years. So I think you got a good deal. Of course mine had been hardly ever played, so the frets were like new.
