jerome_travis Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 I was trying to get the Epiphone P94 riviera from Ishibashi webshop from Japan www.ishibasi.co.jp I mailed them and they replied that due to Epiphone's restrictions, they cannot ship the guitar to me, and I really wonder why!
pohatu771 Posted May 10, 2009 Posted May 10, 2009 Some products are only for sale in certain markets, but it only applies to new instruments. You can buy used from them, though they may not have the guitar you want.
clarkuss Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 It is a shame about the p93. I can't seem to find one over here either and the best bet for me is to import one from the USA but i don't want one that badly. That Casino is beautiful though and they've got an Elite Dot and a Rev Casino for decent prices too!
jerome_travis Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 well im worried that its not gig friendly.. btw its the P94 riviera, not P93.. the valensi model. Sucha waste cos its having a sale now! funny, u guys dont browse ishibashi?
clarkuss Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I thought the P94s were widely available? I will be browsing that site from now on. Some great stuff on there! I'm totally dying for a new Casino, I've decided to sell off most of my excess collection for the time being and try to save up for an Elitist or satisfy myself with a riviera or natural casino for my Beatle band.
jerome_travis Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 apparently epiphone has backordered it for 2 months, and my source said that his guys sourcing the US but seems theres not much success so far..
clarkuss Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 You're worried what's not gig friendly? Surely all epiphone products are gig friendly?
jerome_travis Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 haha i was worried the casino is not gig friendly due to its hollow nature - I play with quite a bit of overdrive..
pohatu771 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 The Casino with overdrive is gig-ready, depending on your setup. Standing on top of the amp will cause problems, the other side of the stage won't.
jerome_travis Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 as for practising in my own room, it will be a bit of the a bother if I get feedback every now and then..
clarkuss Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 I've never really had too much of a problem with feedback (Unsung Casino feedbacks less than my Peerless Casino.) If it's just in your room you can always turn the pickup down and the amp volume up to change the sensitivity of the pickup and get a nice clean rythm on the guitar at 6-7. Feedback is always a talking point with the Casino but I think it's heavily overstated. If you're playing thrash metal at 8-9 volume sitting next to the amp then it will feedback. if you just want a nice crunch or vintage distortion at reasonable levels the casino is a great guitar because it resonates so well.
