Feeling the full strength of the Casino Gas

Recommended Posts

It's been many years since I had a Casino... I had a 1996 Korean one which I (stupidly) lost in a poker game in 2002 (seriously, I'm not making this up). In my defense, I had the 3,4,5,6,7 of Hearts in my hand when I placed the bet. I couldn't believe it when the b*stard laid down a Royal Flush...

Such is life.

Anyway...I've promised myself a new Casino 8 weeks from now, and am enjoying the 'research' process.

Luckily, it seems that there are deals to be had in the present economic climate. Fullers want $499 for this cherry beauty:

See: Fuller's Casino

Which seems very reasonable...

And before you ask, I no longer play cards...

Haha!! I like your style more and more every day. I would have probably bet my Casino with a hand like that.

Don't even talk to me about Casino GAS. I think it's what wakes me up every morning. I currently have the option of an 06 Peerless or an 06 unsung. Both of them come with the newer moulded epiphone case but the Unsung one is £50 more at £350 and is in London and not round here. Both are cherry. Strange how both factories were making the same guitar at the same time huh?

Do you prefer a bright cherry or a wine red style finish? That one in the picture is beautiful!!

This one in Glasgow is "good as new" and he bought it from a local guitar shop and has only been out the case 4-5 times. £300. Tuesday can't come soon enough!!!

Red I never get sick of seeing those! How come you took the PG off your Lennon 65? I much prefer that PG than the modern one.

I'm not sure. It may not have come installed, or maybe I took it off because it was on the Elitist. Maybe 'cuase there's not one on Maccas. Or it could be I was thinking about putting a black or tortoise guard on it; I like those better than the white. LOL, I just don't remember!

Aaarghhh. Will you guys please ping me when a nice Casino comes up that you DON'T want?

I prefer sunburst and a Bigsby would be nice too.

Thanks' date='[/quote']

Well, if you're serious about that Brian, how's about this one?

I saw this guitar at the Fuller's website also. It's a limited edition Bigsby model from a couple of years ago, which they still have in stock.

Here's the link: Ltd edition Casino with Bigsby

They're asking $699.

That's exactly what I bought back in the fall. New Old Stock Ltd. Edition from Daddy's Junky Music here in NH. Same price.

VERY nice guitar. Beautiful finish, plays great. I put a roller bridge on it, and a taller Bigsby spring. I love it.

If you post a link to a high-resolution version of this picture (biggest possible), I'll photoshop the background to make it look nice - it's such a great picture would love to fix it up . . . it's driving me nuts that the fabric doesn't come all the way down the wall and I can fix those wrinkles

Get RED!!! My only reason for not taking my own advise, is the fact I've got three red Epi's already. A Wildkat pictured here, a Dot, and last but not least - my Riviera.

So I got the Casino in natural, maybe down the road. Who know's?

Oh! By the way, Red 333. I love Aimee Mann! She's also in my height range. Again, maybe down the road.......

If you ever find yourself here in Rochester, the HOG has at least one of the limited edition models with the Bigsby, and you could probably buy it for about $500. I talked them down to $495 a few years ago, but then didn't buy it.
