rlee1031
Ok this one may have been beat to death but I am looking for solid info so where else am I going to ask! I know that from 89-91 some epi les pauls were built with a open book style head stock and the info I have found is they were korean yet the the serials were paper with no letter just numbers and 7 digits most have a low production number 900 or less I also have seen info that samik was contracted to build during this time . So my questions are 1. what plant where these odd ball's built 2. is it possible that they were made at the samik plant during some sort of transition or over flow? Thanks a ton! RotcanX
Well... the original Samick LPs had a weird tapered open book headstock. You wouldn't confuse it for a Gibson headstock; it was very narrow at the top and the curves at the bottom were very un-Gibson like as well.
