champagnesuperguy
I need new knobs for my black les paul to replace the horrible amber ones. Does anyone know anything about the pots in a Standard or if Gibson or Dimarzio knobs will fit before I go buy them?????
bluesman345
I don't know about Gibson or DiMarzio knobs, but I have always had success with "All Parts" stuff.
pro
I dont know all that much about guitars, but i know on pots you get 2 different types of splines, that I have seen anyway. And you can push either of them on to each other. Some times its just really hard to get them off again.

Does anyone know anything about the pots in a Standard or if Gibson or Dimarzio knobs will fit before I go buy them????? I assume you have an Epiphone Les Paul. You need metric knobs' date=' for coarse splines, Gibson won't properly fit and I'm pretty sure DiMarzios are for USA Gibsons as well. These should work, you might want to shoot them an email to make sure.
twiggy
All I know that Epiphone uses metric knobs so don't jump on Gibson ones, they simply won't fit :D

I've purchased the Speed Knobs and Tophat style from guitarfetish, fit my epis perfectly - alpha pots.
Gordy01
Let me add my endorsement of the facts above. DO NOT get the Gibson knobs for your Epi. Gibson pots = fine spline Epi knobs = coarse spline.
Fadedepi
I purchase my Epi knob replacements from Stew Mac. Just make sure they fit coarse spline pots. Link below. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Knobs.html Faded....
jcwillow777
+1 on GFS knobs. I bought a set from stewmac and they fit a lot tighter than the GFS knobs, same sline.
RotcanX
Stew-Mac knobs are coarse if memory serves; Allparts are the fine spline knobs. However they will fit with a bit of persuasion.
