BillyGibson Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I see lemon oil mentioned a lot. What about Teak Oil. I just bought some to oil a piece of outdoor furniture to preserve it. It says you can use it on all kinds of hardwood.
Lord Summerisle Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 I see lemon oil mentioned a lot. What about Teak Oil. I just bought someto oil a piece of outdoor furniture to preserve it. It says you can use it on all kinds of hardwood. Never tried it..but my fear with Teak Oil might be stickiness' date=' kind of like linseed oil? To be honest, given how cheap lemon oil-based guitar specific products are, I wouldn't be inclined to risk it. This stuff works just fine: [img']http://images.guitarcenter.com/products/optionlarge/DeanMarkley/251684jpg.jpg[/img] Guitar Center sells it for nearly $8, but I pick it up from my local Mom & Pop music store for closer to $5.
sjtalon Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 What shoud be "mentioned a lot" is............ NO OIL
