I just picked up a red firebird VII ( it has 3 mini humbuckers) , i love the guitar but the pickups are just not cuttin it for what I play. I will be hitting the road with my band in a few weeks and I wanted to get some new pick ups for this bad boy. I am thinking about going with the seymour duncan custom mini sm-2, they seem to have the highest out put and won't require any permanent changes to the guitar. I am also Thinking about the DiMarzio P-90 super distortion pick up. I think that will suit my needs better, but does anyone here know if that will fit? without any routing or major modification? thank you very much hope to get some good feed back!
