Anyone interested in a LP elitist

It's actually NOT an Elitists, but a regular Epi LP Custom, and $450 is a little high for a used Custom. Considering that, the MSRP is about $1,200, and retail is about $800, plus the fact that Epi LPs don't appreciate in value (in fact, it's the total opposite). So, I would say that, it isn't a good deal. I wouldn't pay more than $400 for it, but that's just me. My '02 Epi LP Standard Plus! retailed for, $950, and I paid $400 Brand New w/case. Now that's a deal!

I don't know there rockstar........the photos not real good, but it looks like it just might be a "tombstone" headstock on it..............I contacted the seller, asking for closeup photos, and factory letter code.

Now you see all of us in Europe have to pay more for some bizzare reason which makes no sense.

One of those "bizzare reasons" is the wonderful VAT (Value Added Tax).

I've never quite understood which "value" is being added, but on the average the prices in Europe are bumped up about 20%, whereas when an American buys over the Internet, he pays no "sales tax" at all.

Not that I will buy an LP either way, but I am just curious.

The other reason is that in Europe and Australia there is a distributor in the profit loop, and that probably adds 40% to the prices...as far as I can gather in the States Epiphone are their own distributor.

BZZT ! not quite right...........

True, we have no FEDERAL sales tax ......YET,

BUT.............

If an American buys something online, and the online retailer has a store, or outlet, in the state in which the

buyer resides.........then full sales tax must be paid in the online transaction.
