Here's some of mine at the moment. Just gave the Firebird a rewire, and it certainly sounds different to before since the wiring I used is a lot different to the old wiring. Sounds very stratty when clean, but is crunchy, waily, hot and responsive like humbuckers on overdrive. Very versatile actually. And then there's my Fender Mexican Deluxe 'Roadhouse' Stratocaster. Beautiful guitar, I just love playing it, and the tone is gorgeous. And the G-400 has become somewhat of an 'ol faithful. Probably doesn't get as much use as it used to, or it should, I find myself leaning more towards clean stuff nowadays, which the Strat and Firebird are perfect for. But if I ever want to let loose and really piss my neighbours off and just wail with sustain for days, the SG never fails.

Technically I no longer own a Les Paul, I'm selling it and there are lots of bids on it and the reserve has been met, so she's all packed up and ready to go to the highest bidder. I have no doubt that there will be a Les Paul in my future though. Not sure whether to go for an Agile or two or another trusty Epiphone. There's a gorgeous Epi '56 GoldTop for sale at the moment that is totally mint and would be fantastic. But then I can order two Agiles AL-2000s, a Goldtop with P90s and a Tobacco Burst one with humbuckers and have them both arrive on my doorstep for about as much, possibly even less, than this guy wants for the Epi GT.

I also want to get an acoustic and fit a pickup, maybe a Strat single coil, or maybe a P90, and use it for slide. I've seen lots of folks do that, and it sounds fantastic and it seems like a pretty good alternative to a hollowbody, nice and resonant, perfect for slide, and hella cheap too! Not to mention an improvised guitar like that is totally bluesy.

Well....

I am pretty new to Epiphone's and electrics in particular because I play mostly acoustic fingerstyle stuff, but I figured since I recently got a used/modded Epi SG G400 in trade, I should check this place out.

Wow! Who made the hardware on the SG? I've never seen anything like it before...=D>

To be honest, I don't know because it was modded by the previous owner. I bought it that way. All I know for sure is that the tremolo is a "Burns" trem. I am not really a trem user, but it keeps it nice and tight without the whammy bar on there so all is good.

By the way, the Gibson in my firepit photo was only there long enough to get the shot. It never stood a chance of being harmed... :- I just wanted my favorite Gibson photographed in my favorite spot... Firepit next to the Mississippi River just downstream from Wabasha, MN where our cabin is.

New collection pic with my new Casino.

And also a pic of the Peavey Classic 50 I picked up recently, I don't believe I posted a pic of that yet.

The Classic 50 and the Casino were made for each other!

Cheers mate. Yep, shame that, but at least I have an SG for that hot, responsive, powerful humbucker sound and sustain.

I do intend to own a Les paul again some day though, but have decided that, when I do get one again, I'm going to go the whole hog and get a Gibson. I am in love with the Les Paul Classic 1960. It has the kind of sonorous, warm tone that I love, and it feels a treat to play. Unfortunately they're discontinued, so unless my local store still has their one this time next year when I've paid off my Casino, I'll probably have to find a nice used one. That's ok though, it'll bring the price down a fair bit.

I already posted my group shot, but I just picked up a "New Addition" and haven't had a chance to do a new group shot. I love the look of this new one... Custom Mahogany Open pore body, hard tail, CS Texas Specials and a 70's large headstock and Maple neck. Plays sooooo sweet and a perfect addition that compliments my Epi SG G400 nicely.
