wedgeSG Posted October 1, 2009 Share Posted October 1, 2009 There's a seller on EPAY that is selling metal guitar nuts. These are supposedly in preslotted in an Epi/Import configuration. Some of them even seem to be drilled between strings for attachment to the slot via screws...(!). Has anybody used these or something similar? Bone seems to be most folks fav since it's so hard, if it didn't make the tone shrill or icepicky wouldn't some type of hard metal be even better? If it did make a tone higher would it be unacceptably so or just a tad brighter? Is there a large tonal difference between say brass and stainless? Has anybody here got nuts of steel?
