Stig
I have a Ltd. Ed. Casino with the licensed Bigsby B-70. I'm thinking of putting on an American unit. Had anyone done this, and is there any difference? I have an older Bigsby on my Guild Starfire, and it's much nicer than the imported one. But how are the new American Bigsbys? jcwillow777
I have three guitars with B70s. I haven't played a B7 in years, so I don't know the difference, other than looks. I did put a USA spring in one of my B70s which made it smoother. Try that first, they are only about $6.
Parabar
I have several guitars with Bigsbys, both US made and licensed. I honestly can't tell any difference in function.

I've even suggested it to people here a bunch of times! I just wondered if the arm feels more solid or anything like that.
JohnMcClane5000
I don't think you can just swap from a B70 to a B7... The holes for the srews (on the side) might not match...
brianh
I have B-70s and a B-7 - the physical differences are mostly cosmetic, but the three screw holes at the bottom do not match. The US-made units do have a more vintage look, but operationally, I feel/hear no differences.
Stig
Thanks, folks. I guess I'll just leave it alone and spend the money on upgraded electronic parts.
