LPR91281734033
Hi everybody I just wanted to know a couple of things; I'm thinking about upgrading the pickups in my Epi LP to the Seymour Duncan SH-1 "Vintage Blues" set: http://www.guitar.co.uk/accessories/pickups/2802-seymour_duncan_vintage_blues_set_sh1n_b_59_neck_and_bridge To anybody that has bought these or has experience of them....... -Will these fit in my Epi LP? -Are the pickup rings slanted and curved underneath to match the top of the LP? -Do they only come with black rings? -If I want replacement rings in the future are they Gibson or Epi sized ones I need to fit the Seymour? Many thanks everybody!!:-$/
matiac
It would seem to me the stock rings you have will be fine. I have Gibson "T-Tops" in my guitar, and didn't change anything out for fit, they popped right in.
Ricochet
-Will these fit in my Epi LP? -Are the pickup rings slanted and curved underneath to match the top of the LP? -Do they only come with black rings? -If I want replacement rings in the future are they Gibson or Epi sized ones I need to fit the Seymour? -Yes -None of the Seymours I bought came with a mounting-ring. It may be different for the set or something recent, not sure... -See above, but generally any colour as long as it's black or cream. You can buy third party in chrome or gold. -You want import-sized rings. Gibsons are a tad smaller and take redrilling some holes. Either one has no consequence on fitting the humbucker tho.
