brianh
Hi all, I have an opportunity to buy a Peavey Dyna Bass Unity (neck through) for $350 including HSC. It's supposedly in "mint" condition. From the Harm Central and TalkBass forum reviews it seems like a decent bass for a guy who's really a guitar player. Here's a pic: I need a bass for my home studio and this seems like a better value than a MIM Fender Jazz Bass. Any comments?

brianh
Well I went ahead and bought the Peavey. It was in really nice condition, came with a HSC and I've spent the day doing some minor wiring repair and lowering the action for my wimpy guitar player technique. Also ordered a Ampeg B-115 combo amp from MF. Anxious to hear what it sounds like. Apparently good bass amps are a lot more expensive than guitar amps: www.markbass.it http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=category&cid=95 www.tcelectronic.com/bass That TC Electronic Staccato head looks very nice.
