MattWild
Hy guys! I have a Epiphone LP Standard Cherry Sunburst. After something dropped on the guitar, a dent shows. The finish is still ok (no wood showing). I just wanted to know, if such "flaws" could be repaired? If yes, how much does that cost, where should it be done and how are the results of such a repair? I´m not even sure if I want to have it repaired. I think I could live with that "flaws". They are part of playing an instrument. But just to have an idea if I should change my opinion. Thanks a lot!!! MattWild.

deflepfan
Its called mojo' date=' embrace it!![/quote']Yup, only I call it a "Battle Scar". No wood showing, doesn't effect it's playability; leave it alone.

Gordy01
Just to satisfy your curiousity, it is repairable. A very good tech will be able to repair it. As to how much he would charge, I have no idea.
bonzoboy
Any guitar is going to most likely get the occasional accidental bump over it's lifetime, that just adds character as opposed to relicing which is nothing short of vandalism. -----------------------------------------
Gordy01
Just to further inform you, a dent can be steamed out of wood. This involves removing the finish in the small dent area, steaming the wood to make it expand, and then refinishing. Easier on a solid color than on a burst, or wood grain because of having to match the stain. And probably expensive.
