I like that the new Dot, Riviera and Casino on the Thomann site have lost the chamfer from the headstock. It's still a bit on the paddle side but an improvement, and it kind of suits the semis. C'mon Epiphone, how about that LP Special Double Cut in TV Yellow having a 'normal' Gibson-style headstock?

I guess that Gibson-Style Headstock will be a dream:d/

I actually prefer the epi headstocks on the hollow bodies , mainly because most of them were always epi guitars, like the riv, shery, sorrento, and a few others, but I absolutely think that standard and tradition Les Paul, and Sg epi's should have the open book head stock, I mean, the Flying V comes with the regular gibby, and so does the Fire Bird, Explorer what gives Gibson! I mean fender isnt all high and mighty about there headstocks, squires and mim fenders all have at least a variation of a tradition fender head stock and people will still pay for their high end American made guitars..................

WHAT?! Where was I when this was announced?

If it's a single-cut, I'm selling my Cherry Double-cut special in a second to get the tv yellow special. The only other single-cut epi specials I've seen were the japanese ones, and I missed the deal of the century ($600USD or so) on one last year.

I actually prefer the Epiphone headstock on SGs and LPs to the Gibson open book. I don't mind the open book headstock, and I think it looks classic, and even a little badass on an SG or LP. But from a design point of view I think the Epiphone headstock looks more coherant overall with the shape of those guitars.

Actually, come to think of it, the headstock Epiphone uses on the archtops/hollow bodies looks better on them than the open book. They're such curvy guitars, so the pointy open book headstock looks a little odd to me.

Well I already have the lp jr. in tv yellow w/a setneck and p-90 pickup. That guitar just feels great. You just hit a chord and man you just feel it in your bones. Its a great guitar. I have wanted a red doublecut ever since I saw CB's. I love that guitar.
