Swoop
Nothing wrong with a Fender, and a Thinline Tele is, in my opinon, one of the most coherant, aesthetically pleasing guitars they made. It'd be the kind of Tele I'd go for. And given how cheap it is, that makes it all the more appealing.
3 Chord Hippie
At that price your not buying it, your stealing it,,,, :-k [biggrin]
vomer
Buddy's got a MIJ and a Mexican. Both great. Probably the most versatile axe I've ever played. At that price you won't regret it and probly wouldn't lose $ if you sell it.
alfsboy
For those who ,like me cannot afford "nuffink' , dare I suggest an SX Thinline A lot of bang for the bucks and actually made from proper alder not dyed balsa wood .The Euro version still comes with a proper F headstock .They seem to OS everywhere but well worth a look out .A swift pickup change (Toneriders?) and open out the nut slots a tad and your away .The tuners are Korean and stay in tune ,at least on mine .The neck is very good . brianh
No doubt, those Rondo Thinline Tele copies are really nice for the money: http://www.rondomusic.com/tc730vwhrn.html http://www.rondomusic.com/product792.html But I'd still rather have a real Fender, even a MIM or MIJ. Anthony_JB
I'd totally snatch it! 500 bones is a steal! I've been gassing for a Thinline forever! Seeing how Sweetwater has that 3 Payment Plan deal, I think that might become more of a reality. And yes, I agree. They are VERY aesthetically pleasing. One thing I never really found out though. What exactly is the difference in tone between the humbuckers the 72 has and the single coils the 69 has. I've never owned a guitar with humbuckers. midiman56
The '72 Thinline Telecaster is beautiful, effortless and incredibly versatile guitar, ican't! Give it a good going over and play it for a while ... you'll fall in love too! Jim
