tartanbeastie Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Does anyone think that it would be fairer if moderators notified individuals before removing posts and also gave a reason for doing so, particularly if none of the posts contravened forum rules? Perhaps a dispute system could be put in place also. not everyone will agree with each others posts but as long as they are not slanderous surely everyone has a right to make their point, or to reafirm it or reply to future posts.

And that is a thorn in the side of the mods, so I have a place in my heart for them too. Life is too short to scuffle when there are so many positive things we can find to talk about.
charlie brown Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 The Mods now, are very fair, and pretty low key. You should have been here, a year or more, ago! Wheweee! ;>b CB
tartanbeastie Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 i'm just a huge believer in free speach and think everyones opinion is valid regardless of whether its the same point of view as mine. i know that in retaliation its all to easy to hit the button to report posts but does it really solve anything. i dont have a problem with anyone on here and i'm glad that there is a multitude of varying opinions otherwise the forum would be pretty bland and probably come across as very sychophantic.

There was a time when we were "disciplined" with thumb screws!
MaxHart85231281734137 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 So guys, it seems that Epiphones QC is mostly concernd with its forums and not the quality of there guitars..........wamp.wamppp wampppppp........if they spent as much time on here as they did checkn there guitars well then every one would be happy!
duane v Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I understand your concern, however I'm just not going to PM members for every little infraction..... I'll never be able to log-off the Epi and Gibson forums. As for the "freedom of speech comment," maybe in your own home that rule may apply, but it certainly does not apply here at the Epi Forums.
