Canine
Hi! Looking to replace my valve junior's power transformer. Any suggestions? I'd like something close to the original so I don't have to guess where to solder the wires. Any and all suggestions appreciated.
twanger
Here's a few to try... http://www.hammondmfg.com/1627.htm I think these guys started making transformers just after Nikola Tesla blew up Tunguska, Russia http://www.mercurymagnetics.com/pages/mainframe.htm (click on the Epiphone logo) The mod kit is about twice the cost of a Valve Jr but many think they're great. http://transformerdesignandsupply.com/ Don't know much about this outfit other than they offer tranformers (NOT Decepticons!) StarGeezers
One would think Epiphone would supply a replacement transformer to their service centers ... Is there a part number ???

m-theory
http://www.musicalpowersupplies.com/4.html It's probably going to be the 275, but you should contact him to make sure. This is probably the cheapest you'll find, and, if it were me, I'd personally have a difficult time justifying spending a whole lot more than this, seeing as how you can find used Vjrs for not that much more than this. I just saw a head the other day for $55.
TWANG
antek has some torroidal .. but they are probably too big.. A guy at sewatt.. geckko, is sending me another url when he looks it up.. for a chinese exact repalcement. 40.00 is about as low as I've found exept the antek which was 25.00 plus shipping. but, again, maybe more than a tight fit.
