I just saw a Les Paul Ultra

used, but as if it sat in a case and was NEVER played. Its so light and smooth.

The gold plating on the hardware is near immaculate.

I was going to unload my LP special II, my SG special, and my epi Ltd.ed. Flying V , as well as a fender 25 watt amp.

All those i was getting rid of was in order to make some room,

and to get them out there for someone else to really get some use out of them.

So, for $349, You guys think that would be a great investment for the cash id get from the prior mentioned gear?

Anyone own a LP ultra and love it?

Man, i totally am splurging with my rainy day fund, and since i got a good bonus i bought the handsome devil amp....

I think the LP is a bit of a oppurtunity.

What a coincidence. I saw a used Ultra in fantastic shape at one of the local shops today. They wanted $349.99 for it. It seem like a quality instrument. All of the Ultra Is are Korean aren't they?

Im guessing this is my oppurtunity to add a gold hardware LP to my collection.

an Ultra from one of our own right here. I hate to admit it, I

haven't had alot of time with it just yet. Shoot yeah, The finish,

build, etc is really nice! Lighter LP for sure... Are you really lookin'

to get rid of your flyin' V..? Whew, Shout out if you are budro!!

RUN, DO NOT WALK to get this great guitar, Ican't!

My Ultra ... bone stock, mind you ... is my go-to guitar, and has been making a living for me 'lo these many months! It is simply an excellent instrument and should be part of your collection.

So ... did you get that I like this guitar?

Don't know about the Ultra, but you are getting rid of the V?

I so wished I lived in Texas, right now [biggrin]

By the way, I tried the Ultra and the Ultra II and they play really well.

The nanomag is interesting but I wasn't a great fan of that so I am not sure about it.

There was just one thing that I didn't like, and that was the weight.

I like my heavy Les Pauls, you know?

But if you enjoyed it, go for it.

I may just do that after scalping my sg special and LP special II for good parts.

I DID IT

raided my two specials and swapped the crap box style switches in my LP classic and LP std (both are 2001 koreans)

Heh now they've got the nice switchcraft style switches that epi has started using recently.

And, after converting them back to bone stock, I still got $195 for the pair.

The old fender frontman amp got me $20 and the V was gifted to a friend for xmas.

This brought the Ultra down to $150 out of pocket! All i had to do was get rid of some unused gear.

Man this thing is LIGHT and GORGEOUS!

Its as if this person who pawned it took better care of their guitars than us!!!!

NO dings, no scratches... not even a light scratch on the pickguard.

Unsung, Korean did it again!

I bet this thing was stolen or something. this is an amazing deal....
