bluelake07
Tragic story. Riding a motorcycle is so much fun, but I'm glad I stopped many years ago. Having two friends die on street bikes and seeing a young guy in my neighborhood become paraplegic from a motocross crash made it difficult to continue. A couple of years ago I got the urge again after seeing TV shows like American Chopper. I did research on current bikes and was getting ready to make a purchase when I saw a motorcyclist flying over a Acura Legend he collided with in an intersection. No motorcycle for me. Anyway, Twang he's fortunate to have a knowledgable person like you to help with the sale of his guitars. There is no Gibson J-54, there is a J-50 or as you said it's probably a J-45. TWANG
Icant... I don't know yet.. I'm going to get some pics and find out about cases and hang tags and the works. I couldn't find a j54 anywhere so I think dyslexia hit my friend. there was a j 55 however so it's still up in the air.. j 55 or j 45. We just want to make sure he doesn't fall for any bs.. you know how it can be.
peeper
There was also a J 30 and J 35, a 54 wouldn't surprise me. But I'm interested in a 45 myself.

The J45 was the sunburst model of the popular flatop and the J50 was the natural (premium) version. This is from my 1960 Gibson catalog.
