Swoop
I was quite surprised to receive these today, I didnt expect that they would turn up until sometime in the new year, given that this is probably a busy period for the postal service, being Christmas and all of that. But they arrived in just one week. Of course, I got right down to fitting them. I bought some conversion bushings from a local supplier, and in fact 4 of the 6 were a tad loose, and fell out with reasonable ease. I didn't have any glue available, and didn't much fancy venturing to the store to get any since all the stores are madness at the moment, so I simply wrapped a little masking tape around the bushings and pressed them in, and this was enough to hold them in firmly. It's probably the better option anyway, in case I want to switch back to Grovers for any reason, though I doubt I will. It was then simply a case of screwing in the bottom screw, the hole lines up wit hthe existing Grover screw hole, aligning them all nicely, and drilling a new hole for the top screw, and Bob's your uncle! Done! Easy as that! I haven't got any strings at the moment, so I can't give them a proper test, but they feel very nice and smooth. The cream buttons are a little bright, but once they age a bit they'll soon match the hue of the binding etc. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. Swoop
I'm surprised you can see it, the pics look a bit dark on my computer. If you think that looks good, check out the whole neck. Has this interesting stripey pattern too it. Looks kinda funky, but I like it, it's a point of interest. Getting some strings this afternoon. Unfortunately the store doesn't have any of my favoured DRs in stock. No Pure Blues 10-46, no Tite-Fit 10-46, so I had to get my third choice, D'addario 10-46. I don't mind them, they're reasonably good, but I want to play the damn thing today, and the D'addarios take forever to become stable when you first fit them. Guest icantbuyafender
Im an Ernie Ball Regular Nickel Rockers .10's or .11's kinda guy. But i can settle for slinkys. I used to use D'Addario a while back before Ernie Ball started doing the "fresh seal" packaging.
Bender 4 Life
Nicely done Swoop !!! I'm fixing to order a set, and see if the buttons will stain when soaked in hot (but not boiling) coffee, the way John Wayne used to stain his "six-gun" handles.(which were ivory, not plastic) It it works, i'll order at LEAST 2 more sets. Let y'all know if they accept stain after I try it.

Swoop
Well I strung the LP up today, and these Wilkinson tuners are indeed very smooth, and firm. No slippage here. I would most definitely buy another set, and I just might for my Casino, or maybe some metal buttoned ones. Especially at that price. $40NZ shipped.
