Help me PIMP my IB Revolution!

Hello guys, first of all I'm really happy with my IBJL Revolution. It's what I'd call my dream guitar.

After successfully shipping the guitar from SFO to Manila inside an SKB hardcase,I still had a few snags with customs. Thank goodness i declared the guitar under Personal Effects so i was taxed about $5 [cool]

Thing is i still see some obvious differences with the 65 Revolution guitars that came out.

-The nut is corian compared to plastic on the IBJL

-The nylon saddles

-The Pickguard screw with the black rubber tube near the neck pickup

As for the back of the guitar it doesn't really bother me at all about the differences.

I'd like to basically change the nut, nylon saddles and add the pickguard screw with rubber tubing. with these upgrades i'd be all set and be a bit happier!

Some questions though:

-The IBJL came with a separate pickguard, but i can't seem to find the black rubber tubing that comes with the screw as seen in pictures..

can i order that rubber tube somewhere just to be sure i'm using the right size?

-Where can i order nylon saddles that i know will be the exact size of the saddles that come with the IBJL? My local luthier can replace the saddles but i'm not sure if there are local nylon saddles i can trust with quality.

-Where can i order the corian nut as a replacement?

Thanks very much for your help! And hopefully this thread can be a sticky for those who want to PIMP their IBJL casino's as well!

Use bone not corian. However, if you must have Corian (for whatever reason), this is what you need: http://www.warmoth.com/Gibson-Style-Nut-Blank-Corian-White-P293C838.aspx

By the way, this topic was discussed here quite a bit, fairly recently. You may find some answers in this thread.

Good luck with your mods.

This last one has me mystified. I guess you are talking about some kind of black washer under the pickguard screw after the pickguard was removed? Are you proposing to drill a hole in the top of your IBJL Rev to accommodate a screw and washer for a non-existent pickguard?

Not sure about the nylon saddles. Think you might struggle to find them.

Thanks for the replies! Yup sir' date=' that's what I'm referring to. I never saw it as a black washer.. i always thought it was a black rubber tube because when i removed my pickguard from my Ibanez AF-75 that's what i saw.. hmmm.

As for the Bone Nut, I'm convinced it's better! [confused
