Ricochet
A MIJ would have the "open book" Gibson headstock. The only "J" indicated factory is Terada Japan. Something is not adding up here.

Ricochet
No exceptions that I know of(which doesn't say all that much). "J" has been found on some Epis made in Indonesia. However since this has been a rare occurance it hasn't made the "official factorylist" yet.
