brianh
$999 is the minimum retail price for all authorized dealers. But keep your eye on Musician's Fiend over the next few weeks, they usually run Washington's Birthday sales and so forth. I got my sunburst IBJL for $747 - after markdown to $839 (perfect condition customer return) and another %15 off on Xmas day sale. More here: http://forums.epiphone.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=12932 I should add that the $747 included an Epiphone case and free shipping, no tax. I'm starting to think I got a something of a deal... narc999
Gonna follow this thread! I am in the market for one of these as well. Im looking for the natural version of that guitar. As far as I can tell, that version is sold out everywhere. as far as I can tell 999.99 is the going rate for this guitar. Will keep my eye out on this thread and on the online retailers. Lets keep each other in the loop for for coupons and online deals! Thanks, NARCO
charlie brown
E.M. Shorts (Wichita Band & Instrument Co.) When I was in there, recently, the price on the IBJL Casino's was somewhere around $785 (Case extra). First Run, no 2nds, or refurbs. CB
narc999
How many and what is the quality? Like I have found out, quality can be different! Guitar Center showed me lemons. Do you live in the area? Have you ever bought a guitar from them? Does it come with the documentation? Man that is a great lead! Thanks alot Charlie Brown! If you give me the thumbs up on their store and service, then I will get it from them! Thanks, Narco!

[/quote'] First Run Quality...they don't put out "lemons" for sale, but send them back, upon arrival/discovery! I have bought 9 guitars, from them, over the years...at all price points, from 400 to 4000 dollar guitars. I live about 100 miles away, and get up there, probably 4-6 times a year. All guitars come with all documentation, and extras, that is standard for each guitar. They have been (consistently) lower in price, than any of the "Big Box" stores. Sometimes, 50...to as much as 1000 dollars, lower. Depending, of course, on the List price, of the guitar, to begin with. Also, they will put on, any strings you want, Set Up the guitar (within reason, as best they can) to your specs...prior to shipping it. What UPS or Fed-Ex may do to that, well....you know the risks, there. They also have a 5 day trial-exchange, where you pay only shipping...if you choose not to keep it. http://www.wichitaband.com/guitar.html CB

charlie brown
Well, sorry...they never told me, if it was or was not, included...I just assumed, for that price, it was extra! MY BAD! I was really only "looking" and had not mentioned the case issue, at that time. Sorry, again, for any confusion, in that regard. ;>b CB
narc999
I think it does include case... Is there any documentation that comes with this model? I know it does not come with any crazy stuff like the "revolution" model does. Does it come with anything other than the tag and the warranty card? thanks, NARCO! brianh
Besides the case, mine came with an Epiphone Casino poster, a generic Epiphone owner's manual, and a RoHS electronics disposal notice. Also one of those Radioshack guitar cables. And a silica gel pack. (Don't eat that by the way.)
lespauluII
I got the same stuff with mine.... The case with Epiphone silkscreened on it is nice and fits well. Being sold with the case was a selling feature that helped justify the cost along with the US/Gibson electronics. I dont know whats up with the cheapo cable, they should have included a cool epi strap instead..
