headcase79
I have a dot deluxe with some intonation problems. I have checked the set up and it appears to be fine. It's in tune open and at the 12th fret, no problem. In the top frets, say 1-3, the intonation is terrible, particularly in the A-G strings. This is particularly problematic because open chords are totally out of wack. Any ideas how I can remedy this?
peeper
Could be the nut, could be the neck, I suggest supporting your local repairman!
headcase79
Yeah... I think the nut is in the wrong place. But I won't be supporting my local repairman. The guitar is 6 months old. I plan on taking advantage of the limited lifetime warranty.
peeper
You'll still be better off upgrading to a bone nut. They may exchange the whole guitar for you at the big box places, that isn't always a good thing!
