galaxiedave
The PT blew on my Galaxie 10 and I need to replace it, but I don't really know how to pick the right replacement. I've heard Hammond, Torres, MojoTone, etc are all good, but none of them seem to have anything (at least not that I've seen) that specifically says, "This will work for a Galaxie 10." This will be my first time doing my own work on my amp, so any general advice there is welcome. Thanks!
brianh
Try PMing M-Theory, he's one of the resident amp experts on the forum. BTW, did you see that G-10 on ebay that sold last week for $148.50? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280465112868&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I shoulda bid on that I think. Bobby
Hello, I had the same problem with my Galaxie 10. I used the Weber wo22772 without any problems. I did away with the dual voltage switch, and everything is fine. I also used his adapter plates to make it fit. Good luck, Bobby.
m-theory
Try PMing M-Theory, he's one of the resident amp experts on the forum. Hardly! I know nothing more than what I've read and what I've seen with my own eyes! I've never actually even looked at one of these amps, so I have no idea as to what the proper PT would be. That's a question for the iron manufacturers.
