Hungrycat
why ask if you already know Peter[angry] Because he's stupid. See the thread where he's asking about buying the fake Les Pauls.
kid.on.earth
i ask because the one posted on kijiji CLEARLY looks nothing like those that you just posted pics of, so, i was wondering if it was a fake of some kind,or if it was some specific dealer type of thing!!! kid.on.earth
just because those other guitars aren't made by gibson or epiphone doesn't mean that they're crap!!!!
Turbojet
Guys, This seems to be a genuine Epiphone. Living in Canada, I recognized the logo of Long & McQuade, the largest Canadian music retailer: http://kingston.kijiji.ca/c-ViewAdLargeImage?AdId=188691607&ImageIndex=1 After a little research, here's the link to their 50th anniversary flyer, advertising both black and Antique Cherry version (CAN$695) http://www.long-mcquade.com/pdf/monster%20sale%20mag-guitars.pdf. They had lots of "special editions" done just for them that year (PRS, Ovation, Godin, etc.) Cheers, George georgesolo.com

ReneBoedker
sorry paruwi' date=' that was directed at the other two people.....so its a custom?[/quote'] No, I don't think you would call it a custom - rather a "retailer special". But I don't know.

Fantana
It's an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, in a retailer specific guise
Suicidehummer
Didn't know they came in red but here you go: http://epi.p3net.net/wiki/index.php/50th_Anniversary_Les_Paul_Custom
rpach10115
paruwi6172 is correct. Ok guys, follow me here: It is NOT a Les Paul CUSTOM -- It's a CUSTOM Les paul. More along the lines of a Prophecy Les Paul build. A Les Paul CUSTOM is MUCH different than this guitar. (Headstock inlay, fret inlay, maple bookmatached top, special burst colors, etc...) This guitar was a limited run that Epiphone does for retailers. They have different ones for Sam Ash, Guitar Center ,Musicians Friend, ETC...... You see them advertised all the time.
