ptc
I've got a '76 natural finish that I altered the wiring on. The current bridge p'up is a Duncan JB and the neck a Duncan '59 (I'm a frequent p'up changer though, never buy second hand from me...). I've got the middle pickup (original T-top) wired to the rythym side of the switch and to the neck volume and tone pots and it's dropped as low into the body as I can get it with out the screws coming out of the base. The middle position now sounds like more like a Telecaster than anything, very usable indeed. I'm assuming this is quite a common mod for folk to do, and I was wondering if anybody had changed the middle p'up for something else and what results they got. ptc
I will do, that's an old one I had saved. I'll need to take some new shots of my guitars for the forum. The Custom's not a bad guitar at all although it's a '70s model.
elessar820
Nice guitar, I'm still pretty new to Les Pauls and I've never seen a three pickup LP with a natural finish. Very nice.
Silverbursted
Did you replace your switch to a 5 way toggle to take advantage of blending, or does each position control one PuP? BTW, she's a real beauty. ;) ;)
elessar820
I love modifying the wiring in my guitars. If I switch the out BB3 in my BFG and can find a long shaft push/pull, I may wire it for coil splitting.
