olds_cool63
Well, the Mrs. and I headed over to Guitar Center last week to pick up a Yamaha keyboard. REALLY nice! Well, while she was playing it in the store, I went over to check out the Dot. Man, I LOVE that guitar. Sounded and played good. I just bought an SG-310 about a month ago from them and I'm thinking why didn't I get the Dot? So, I'm thinking the Dot would make a great additional practice guitar. So, what do you current/previous owner's think of the Dot? These days I'm doing more funk than hard rock, so tell me what you think...good or bad? Thanks for any info! bluelake07
I don't own one, but am impressed by the Dot placing first in this comparison of 21 guitars costing under 300 pounds (currently $404) by the UK magazine MusicRadar last year: http://www.musicradar.com/tuition/guitars/the-best-electric-guitars-under-300-213316/22#content

lonesomeagle1
Had mine Ebony Dot for 2 1/2 years now. Became my everyday player immediately. Sounds great through my Vox AC4!! Good Blues axe, as long as you like a chunky neck. Pete
olds_cool63
Thanx for all the replies. Just so happens my Fender micro-amp (that I've had almost 20 years) died yesterday. So, I guess I'll head over to Guitar Center and pick up a new practice amp. I'll play the Dot some more while I'm there....through whichever amp I get. I really like the "worn" version...just looks groovy! TGILH (Thank God For Lunch Hour)!

Bad Juju
Great guitar for the money' date=' needs neck binding though.[/quote'] I'm pretty ignorant in regards to guitar anatomy and physiology. What will neck binding do for the guitar (and presumable the player and tone)?
smips65
I have a Samick-made Dot that I put P90s on. Very nice guitar. Did you have to carve out more room in the cavity for those P90's to fit? I was contemplating doing the same to my Dot.

Ace126
I am new to the DOT scene, my Grandson has a lefty, after seeing it I had to have one! Found a 2001 Korean, it is the King Kong guitar! I really like it! $300- well spent! Great sound through my Deluxe Reverb RI
Plymouth581281734240
<----- I've got the Dot Studio. Awesome guitar, It's worth at least twice its price. One of my favorite guitars the last few months. I kept mine stock and have no intentions of changing anything.
dcooper830
I have 4 DOTs (ebony, vintage burst, natural, and cherry). I also have 2 DOT Studios (worn cherry and alpine white). I love them all. I can't believe what great guitars they are.
The_Buffalo
I really wanted one - I was going to get one & put Phat Cats or Dream 90's in it - settled for this instead: Better pictures to follow. The € fell off the pickguard & I haven't glued it back on yet.
