need vintage (lookalike) "e" truss rod cover

I'm in the final stages of completing my very own "1966" Casino out of a stock 2004 Peerless Casino.

(For anyone who is interested, I'm trying to make

)

Anyways, I need to find a 2 hole trc with the classic long e on it...anyone have any idea where to find one?

i have a bit of wood surrounded by a rubber sleeve that will allow quick access to the truss rod but let me use the 2 hole cover...i thought about using a tried and true method on the les paul forums where you use a rubber peg but it seems to me that it would hold the cover unreliably compared to the wood.

i came across terrapin, unfortunately they don't do the two hole crescent cover...i was kind of hoping to come across a forum member who i can't remember who made some himself. i've tried searching and can't find that post anymore...

This is the only one on ebay that I could find' date=' it doesn't have the E logo, it's blank.

I guess it's made by the seller, A real one that looks identical from 1964 was $150.00 on a rare guitar parts online store.[/quote']

gl297 has the best 2-hole TRC lead I could find.

Second best is - EPI is currently producing acoustic gits WITH a TRC

that has the "E" logo, but these are 3-hole. Gibson/Epi on-line store

for parts currently shut down due to flooding in Nashville...

Judging by the looks of the real one, your best bet would be to have one made or make it yourself. The original is really wide at the bottom almost the width of the whole nut, which is good because it should cover the screw holes of the three hole trc

*I missed that link in your first post, just saw it. And after hearing that guitar, I'd say the on ebay is worth every penny.

How will you fix the 2 screw TRC to the guitar with 3 holes? the reason I ask is i've got a Casino and I've often thought of doing this.

(^It's the bell-shaped cover but the concept is the same.^)

The top screw holds it on. The bottom screw is super-glued to the cover. The cover hides the old holes on the bottom.

yeah, i didn't buy my casino cause lennon played it, i bought it because of that video. mine is cherry, sounds phenomenal and is the best playing guitar i've ever owned...i've redone all of the electronics, put the vintage spec tailpiece on, single-line Klusons, Gibby ABR. This week my new Tusq saddles and nut come in ( :) ) which should make it sound even more clear and resonant than it does already...then its just the matter of finding this TRC and visually it'll be very very close to the casino in the vid. hopefully it will be as sonically mindblowing as it is in the vid.
