SG-12
Previous posts say that dealers throw away the candy items; it's more likely they steal them! For those that have been victimized, there is a listing on eBay where you can buy what you were supposed to get for free. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gibson-Epiphone-Case-Candy-/173882137043 Just don't ask where they got it from. guitarguy059
I received a new Casino in the Natural finish late last week. I was prepared to find some kind of flaw, but happily, I found the guitar was flawless. The finish. the components, the sound and the setup were all wonderful for an out-of-the-box guitar. I also got all of the extras that are supposed to come with the guitar. Granted, as a player for 55 years, the most useful thing to me is the truss rod wrench. But to a younger player, even a beginner, they might appreciate the extras. My only quibble.........I sent an email asking about the pickups which was readily answered. I also asked about the general construction of the guitar(woods, tuners, etc.) and that part of my question was ignored. Currently, there is no information on the website, I guess the Casinos are undergoing some updates? All in all, I really like my new Casino.
Lexicon
Just bought an Epiphone Limitied Edition Lee Malia Explorer Custom Artisan I have to say the case candy is very rich. 😎 Oh, and even the bag is premium quality, the Epi logo is not merely printed but embroidered. Anyway, here is the content: https://www.dropbox.com/s/eilr9tylg64gjuz/Epiphone Lee Malia case candy.jpg?dl=0 Edited August 30, 2020 by Lexicon
Doomrider76
My new LP 50s Standard didnt come with anything at all, not even a truss rod wrench (they're only Allen wrenches so it's no big deal as I have plenty of those lying around). I think MF is confiscating them.... 10 years later, I got my Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy Black Aged Gloss today and there was only the bumber sticker in it, besides the guiatar. Also no battery or what type of battery I would need for it to work (yes, it needs a battery). The case I was old for it doesn't fit, either, too short. Does anyone have a link for me to the User manual (most important) and the other manual about the Amp. What sot of battery do I need to insert, it doesn't seem to work without such a battery. What are each of the knobs for?... So many quations. It's a brand-new guitar, but all the accessories (except for that bumper sticker) must have fallen out during logistics or pre-logistics, I suppose. Edited December 10, 2020 by SteffenProphecy Perhaps someone can provide some of these materials for me here in the forum? ?
pohatu771
For historic record: I got a 2020 Wilshire (two of them, actually) in sealed Epiphone boxes from two different dealers. They only include the bumper sticker and vintage-style tag (complete with a note from Epi Stathopoulos, who died 15 years before Epiphone ever made the original Wilshire). TomH
I got a brand new Casino from Musician Friend/Guitar Center. No paperwork, warranty card, etc. I'll call customer service. Thanks for all the above comments. Very helpful.
