I tired using guitardater and it says its an unrecognized serial number so hopefully it can be determined if its genuine and where its from and when if possible. The serial number on the back plate is MC22090927. Here's a pic of the guitar back neck plate and the guitar itself. Thanks in advance for any help, I really appreciate it! l Muse, China 2002. I suspect that if you flip the truss rod cover over it says Gibson on it.

Brad miller 0
I have an Epiphone serial# S5055166 I would like to know the model of it and date it was made.
Matt4356 41
Pretty sure serial number reads as- Sammick (Korean factory) 1995 May production number 5166. I could be wrong as older serials can be misleading. You cant get model information from serial numbers, but if you describe the model someone may be able to help. Will have to get a flight case now for touring. Cheers M.E. Sorry, that is NOT a 1960 Gibson-made Epiphone. Gibson-made Epiphones were NOT using labels like that in 1960. The label would have been blue, as the labels on much of the Gibson-made Epiphones in the 1960s were. Here's a 1961 Casino: https://reverb.com/item/36496975-epiphone-casino-single-pickup-e-230t-sunburst-1961 Hard to see, but this is the label it should have if it were truly a 1960: https://i.imgur.com/8wCP9xT.png Enjoy it nonetheless. Besides, there is no Gibson inscription anywhere. Regarding serial number (with 7 numbers) I couldn't find any explanation in this (or other) forums. Only, I can provide you the serial number (9212994) and several photos... please, could you help me? Many thanks in advance. Fran Sal Hello everyone, I actually just joined this forum after finding this thread. I've had an old Epiphone "Les Paul" guitar that I can't find any information about that I was looking to learn more about. The guitar actually has a SN very similar to the guitar pictured above, however the "Month" entry for my guitar would be "00", so I'm just wondering if maybe these serial numbers are maybe organized differently, since 00 wouldn't exist (wouldn't January be 01, etc) Here is my SN below, and I'll add a pic if I can. M-T-Pockets 9
Here are the photos of my Epiphone "Les Paul". It didn't allow me to attach pics to the post above. Please let me know if you now what model this is and if you can tell me anything from the S/N. Also, the frets are worn down/have divits/cuts in them and I think they need to be replaced (I don't know they can be filed down and saved). I'm wondering if this guitar would even be worth repairing. Thanks ahead for your time!
Chrysanths 0
Hello everyone! I purchased this guitar secondhand, and I need help IDing the model. The serial number is SI07111443. So if I correctly understand the serial number system for Epiphone guitars, this guitar was built in Indonesia in November 2007, ID number 1443. I’m trying to determine the model of Epiphone SG. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance! Have a rockin’ day.
