Guenjean
Hi everybody, It is my first post. Does anyone of you have noisy problem with the LES PAUL STUDIO TRIBUTE 50 P90 pickup? I like my guitar, gold top but the pickups are very noisy. Any mod that I can make to resolve the problem? Thanks for helping. JG

That's their nature! Although, there are "noiseless" versions offered by other makers, I guess. Google it! Other option is to replace them with a Gibson minis, or other P-90-sized humbuckers (Seymour-Duncans, Dimarzios). Cheers... Bence

(NE) Otherwise, thanks again and you can visit our New studio. Studio Tracadièche, we just open this summer. You can see it on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Studio-Tracadièche/330178137098230?fref=ts And if you like it, tell your friends, you are all welcome to come and visit...and record... btoth76
Hello Jean! Yes, moving the guitar in relation to the amplifier makes it quieter or louder. Nice studio, indeed! Good luck with Your business! Cheers... Bence

Sound great too.
dmraco
2011 traditional...this has what gibson calls a split coil P-90. It can be tapped to knock the output down to sound more strat like.

NHTom
I was recently looking at a 1993 Limited Edition Les Paul Mahogony. Has P90s and is pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone knew much about them and is the sound different than "normal" with P90 NHTom

jdgm
That is one beautiful guitar. Is it to much to ask if I could see the back. Is that a mahogany top or is it maple? Why thankyou. It is a mahogany top, the body may even be a single piece of mahogany but I haven't had the p/us out to look - yet. A very similar one which is a '57 reissue made in '99 with gold h/bs went for around £1700 (GBP) on ebay last week, same except for p/us. I love P90s! Here is a shot of the back -

tc rocker
Here is my P90 guitar. I found it at the ohio guitar show. It's a 2008 GOTW I think they called it a 67 tribute? But looks like a 62? It's a beautiful heritage cherry, looks like a brownish red. Looks different in different lighting? Next to it is my 2005 LP Standard LE in sante fe sunrise. Both with chuncky necks. HEADKNOCKER
Here's a picture of my Nighthawk Standard & Blueshawk which has Blues 90 pickups, Not actual P90s, Also the Blueshawk has a dummy coil pickup in the rear for 60 cycle hum canceling plus a push/pull pot varitone bypass & rotary 6 way Varitone knob = All Kinds of usefull tones, It's stock except for the Grover Tuners & Bone Nut.. The Blueshawk has a V shaped neck that's unlike any other Gibson I've come across..
