HELP Please!!!

Dominion

Recommended Posts

Hi all you people with good will to help.

I am very interested in sound that produce LP but i never had chance to figure out which one would be good for me.

I am somewhere beatwean The Cult and NIN. Something harder than *** Slash and his son Axle :). (I would fire whole team who sold all those guitars to them, idi..ts. Very bad image for company).

However, i would appreciate if you can advise/suggest/lead me to right path.

My thoughts are with Classic but than I read that it is like tin sound etc.. not sure...

Or maybe Standard...???

Thank you in advance...

Not really meant *** guitar, man is. Whoever spend half of his life with Axle either does not have brain at all or seaking for piece of azz. Maybe I offended you with this story about your family but hey this is free world like Americans say, right????????

RichCI ... if you are not able to help please spare me of your crap...

Welcome to the forum!

You don't give us much to help with. LPs can make thousands of sounds... all we know is you think Slash is a ***. How is that supposed to tell us what "sound" you are after?? Now, had you come to us with "I am trying to nail that Trent Reznor sound.." which is a quantifiable tone, we might could tell you what pickups and Gibsion guitars could get you there. But, no.... you came to us with generic drivel. Any musician knows tone is subjective, so you may as well have said the tone you want is somewhere in between Chet Atkins and Korn. Completely useless input from you if you expect a useful answer.

However.....

Rich responded with humor, not crap, and your response clearly demonstrates you have no tact. So here is advice worthy of an *** like yourself. Get off your *** and go play them and figure it out for yourself.

Enjoy your stay here... but learn some common ettiquette or I fear your stay will be brief. No one wants to be where they aren't liked....

Yeah, I gotta admit, that's a hell of a way to make friends, I mean, I don't really care for the guy either, but I don't go around calling him names, I'd love to see him call him that to his face, I bet he aint got the kahoolies.

Sweet axe!

I think Chanman is the nicest and most polite person at Gibson Forums.

If he calls you an ***, then you're an ***. :-$

I don't care for Slash, the man, but I do love G N' R.

Calling him a ***, though. :)

Dominion, the man has probably slept with more woman than you have seen with your two eyes.

Bad image for the company, eh? How many records have you sold?

nah, he's just a troll who thinks it's funny to get what he perceives as internet nerds all fired up. i used to go into Deadhead chatrooms when i was 12 and say things like "you know, if you stopped doing acid, you would wake up and find that Jerry Garcia sucks and is better off dead." i gotta admit, the replies were quite humorous.

just don't feed him.

Welcome to the forum...

please go to this thread and learn how it's done.

Already back? Ok... now lets see... what kind of sound are you after? thin? ballsy? muddy? or full range "this is what a guitar should sound like, now i'll play with the controls and amp to color it" tone?

What is your budget?

Do you own an amp?

Do you use/intend to use any effects?

Do you know what are effects?

Are you left handed? Are you one of those "look mommy... no hands!" guys?

Do you intend to use your fingers or your teeth?

Are you a ***? (ok that doesnt have anything to do with guitars but since YOU BROUGHT THAT ISSUE IN THE FIRST PLACE).

Axl=Greatest frontman ever

No way in HELL.

Steve Perry - great voice' date=' but what a pxssy!

Lou Gramm - incredible voice, but only in the studio.

Robert Palmer - he was cool before MTV made him a joke.

Chris Robinson - knows how to work a crowd, but irritating.

Robin Zander of Cheap Trick - cool front man.

Michael Hutchence of INXS - VERY cool front man.

David Lee Roth before 1984 - about as cool as it gets.

Roger Daltrey - Okay, lotsa legend surrounding the Who.

Mick Jagger - I can't stand to watch him, but recognized around the world for 40 years.

Robert Plant - Frankly, some of his faggish stage moves give me the creeps, but in only 7 years he became THE ONE.

Axl Rose was a stupid f-ing punk, got lucky enough to get into a band, and got the one thing his pathetic ego craved.

Control.

Took the whole Jim Morrison drunk, stoned & stupid thing to a whole new level.

He's a spoiled 3 year old brat in a drug-addled adult body.

IF he has any talent, he's done a damned good job of hiding it for twenty years.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.... Chinese Democracy will prove me wrong...

He has enough money to surround himself with people who kiss his *** 24/7.

He would stop a show with 70,000 paying customers because he "felt like it" and cause riots.

Fed his ego.

Yep, THAT'S what I want to spend MY hard-earned money on!

Here's one thing people need to figure out.

If you listen to GnR on the radio - you're a fan.

If you pay $15 for a cd that will last forever, you're a supportive, enabling fan.

If you pay $50 for a concert ticket, take off work, spend the time and money to drive there, and buy $100 in merchandise?

You are a CUSTOMER.

When some punk-*** piece of sh!t like Axl thinks it's [i']"so rock n roll"[/i] to piss all over every paying customer in the world?

Fxck him - and the horse he rode in on.

I hope he does not die young. I hope he lives another 45 years in scared, pathetic isolation, afraid of the dark.

Slash?

Very talented guy.

Over rated, with all the Guitar Hero hype, but plays some tasty stuff.

Has more patience and a better work ethic than ME if he tried to make it work with Axl so many years.

I've seen him live with Snakepit and VR, he delivers the goods every single time.

I can understand being a Slash fan, but Axl?

Sorry.

I also have a Kurt Cobain rant, but at least most Nirvana shows started somewhat on time and went the full set...

As you all know I am one of the Slash Whores.

But Axl is a WAY better singer than Slash is a guitarist.

That coming from me is big.

Your right Axl was a *****, a BIG one. But he is definitley in the top 5 greates frontmen of all time.

AND

you have some of your facts wrong, he was never a heavy drinker, and he did almost no drugs.

You don't judge a frontmansinger on their personality, you judge them on their stage presence and their voice.

Axl gets an A+ on both.

Well, OP...

This is where facts get mingled with opinion, and which one carries more weight?

I don't wanna piss on yer shoes, but I stand by my statement.

Let's sort this out a little....

:-)

Your right Axl was a *****' date=' a BIG one. [/quote']

Cold, hard fact.

Undisputed, ask anybody who ever worked for him, with him, or lived around him.

But he is definitley in the top 5 greates frontmen of all time.

Yeah' date=' whatever.....

:-)

AND

you have some of your facts wrong, he was never a heavy drinker, and he did almost no drugs.

I have no firsthand knowledge of this, and I've heard wildly conflicting stories.

There are many legal documents sworn to the contrary.

Remember all his legal problems stemming from his relationship with superstar daughter Erin Everly?

Lots of alleged drug use on both sides, and this is all sworn testimony.

So, you want me to believe drugs or alcohol played no role in his assinine behavior?

I can deduce that he is simply a pathetic, delusional, paranoid schizophrenic naturally?

Yeah, that's the kinda guy I want in MY band. F-ed up, even when he's NOT f-ed up....

You don't judge a frontmansinger on their personality

Absolutely I do.

you judge them on their stage presence and their voice.

These are intertwined' date=' inextricably linked, unless he's an actor and they only do music videos.

What you see is what you get.

Sorry, I don't buy the whole "He's a much different person offstage" bullsh!t.

There's thousands of hours of film and video of him onstage and off - we have a pretty good idea who Bill Bailey is...

Axl gets an A+ on both.

Oh, I agree!

He succeeded beyond his wildest expectations on all counts.

Rock star? Check.

World famous? Check.

Bad boy? Check.

Colossal f-ing ***-hole? Check.

A big name that has become a one-word joke in the music world? Check.

Say I spent a TON of money to get a ticket to a HUGE GnR show, jumped thru a dozen hoops to get there.

After all my efforts, I finally succeed and saw only a riot?

Think I'm gonna get my money back?

You wouldn't let anybody else, anywhere in the world take your money, sell you a product, and then fxck you, would you?

Axl will gladly take your money, I'm sure he needs it, so keep buying GnR cd's and dvd's to keep him in the cash.

Other than that, he doesn't give a flying fxck about you or any other fan.

If you will so willingly part with your cash and expect nothing for it, I have a couple guitars for sale....

:-)
