GuitarEnZo12 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I'm getting my first Gibson in a little less than 2 months and I was just wondering if there was anything I would need to do extra to take care of it. I use a Humidifier for my Acoustic but not for my Epiphone LP Standard. Any tips?
littlekenny Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Hey enzo, Usually if you're comfortable your guitar will be. I'd just watch out for dramatic changes in climate/temp and let it acclimate to the room before you take it out of the case.
NeoConMan Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Temp is the killer. Don't worry about humidity unless you live in the desert or run a heater ALOT during the winter. Whatever steps you take to protect your acoustic are more than adequate for a solid body.
Bluemoon Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I wouldn't put a humidifer in your case, though. You have a lot more metal parts on an electric than an accoustic.
NeoConMan Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I wouldn't put a humidifer in your case I guess that should have been clarified.... Thanks! :-)
