Shelly Ward
Serial # 921140 (not sure, it's hard to read) Thanks!
flyingarmadillo
If it's new you're missing a couple numbers (there are 8 or 9 on new guitars), Or call customer service, I don' t know how much they hang out in the new forums, they weren't around much in the old ones. Try here: http://www.guitardaterproject.org/gibson.aspx Or read here: http://www.gibson.com/en%2Dus/Support/SerialNumberSearch/
Shelly Ward
It's not new. I believe it is a 1968 SG. Thanks for the links!
flyingarmadillo
Looks like the guitar dater site is down. From a whois search it sort of looks like he didn't pay his renewal fees and GoDaddy grabbed it. Guess we're down to just the Gibson site for free resources. MGrd
According to the Blue Book of Guitars it could be made in 1969 (pls. refer to the books second page on the right side).
