Tim Plains Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I couldn't do it...they'd bust me for stealing guitars.
DoubleSixx Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I couldn't do it...they'd bust me for stealing guitars. Lmfao...
matiac Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 I sent Tina an email telling her I'd like to be an..."adjuster". Sounds ominous.
NeoConMan Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hell, they have it posted right here on the forum! http://forums.gibson.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=5840 Just think of all the benefits, you might get to build your own special guitar - truly one of a kind. Hmmmm.... Well, I already have a 12 string SG. Any of you cats in the Nashville area, get with it! (I'll buy a 12 string Les Paul from you - keep it quiet!)

tazzboy Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Well that lets me out. I would do either Customer Service or QC.

(I'll buy a 12 string Les Paul from you - keep it quiet!) you'd think they would hire a 16 year old who will have a problem where whenever he clocks out for the day he hides a guitar under his shirt then walks out the door?
Silverbursted Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 My guess would be, if I had a labor/manufacturing job with Gibson, I probably couldn't afford a Gibson. Pass :(
retrosurfer1959 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 yep I would rather buy gibson guitars then spend all day sanding them. I paid my way through college as a artist doing ceramics and jewelry after a while it was miserable spending all that time so someone could bargain for it and tell ou why it should cost th same as WalMart.. After a few years I hated art and the people who bought it. Sorry Post Traumatic Art Meltdown I'm better now. there's something to be said for doing what you love just because you love it though. I love building guitars as a hobby it would be a ^%#^ load of work to try to make a living doing it.
Gibson CS Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 i wouldnt want to be making em, just playing em if i had to clock in, put my hours down, then go home and try and cram 5 more hours of guitar practise in after 8 hours of guitar, i would lose my mind but it would be cool to work there for one day, drop a chambered les paul on my foot, whine to high heaven, get a settlement, then go back and buy em all hehehehehehe (evil laugh)

I really like the atmosphere there. >fingers crossed<
surfpup Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Gibson's in the break room? Freakin' A! Good luck, man. That sounds great.
stymye Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 yea , a couple employees were having a jam session playing thru a brand new line 6 bogner, pretty cool place . they had free food so I drooled over a whole rack full of fadeds waiting for hardware.while I ate a hotdog. that would never get old to me
